Change the rule. Keep the game moving.

The fastest way to playtest your board game design online, rules included.

Describe your game's rules and Ludira turns them into a playable, rules-enforced prototype — no code, no manually re-explaining rules to every playtester. When something's not working, you fix the rule mid-playtest and the game keeps moving instead of resetting.

The studio's public link is finalizing — the live demo below works right now, no signup needed.

Ludira is solo-built and in free open beta. No mailing list, no tracking — just the tool.

What Ludira actually is

01

Describe the rules

Write your game's rules the way you'd explain them to a playtester — turns, actions, resources, win conditions. No code required.

02

Get a playable prototype

Your rules become a real, browser-playable game with the rules enforced for every player — nobody has to remember or self-police the rulebook.

03

Edit live, mid-game

Spot a broken rule mid-playtest? Change it on the spot. Every connected player's game updates instantly — no reset, no re-dealing, no losing the session.

See it played: a live demo

Before you design your own game, try one already built on Ludira's engine: five public-domain classics (tic-tac-toe, connect four, chomp, nim, three men's morris), each running on the exact same rules engine as the studio above — you against a bot, in the browser. No account, no email, no third-party trackers, live right now.

Play the demo This build's demo link isn't wired in — on ludira.io it's one click, no signup.

Ludira demo video — recording in progress

A short recorded walkthrough of the three guided journeys is being produced. It will play natively here — no third-party embeds.

Where this actually stands right now

Ludira is a solo-built product in free open beta. Being upfront about what's real today:

  • The core rules engine, live mid-game rule editing, and AI rules-to-game generation are built, live, and under continuous adversarial testing.
  • The zero-signup demo above is live and free to play right now — no account, no signup, no waitlist.
  • The design studio — where you actually build and edit your own game's rules — is rolling out; the devlog tracks exactly what's shipped and when. Paid plans are listed on Pricing, but self-serve checkout isn't connected yet.
  • What we're not promising: we're not claiming Ludira will bring you players or an audience — this page is about the design/playtest tooling, nothing else, for now.
